DIA 01
AMERICA / EUROPA – DELHI
Upon arrival at Delhi airport, you will be greeted by a representative of Viajes ver la India. He will take you to the hotel in a private car. Check-in and hotel accommodation.
Delhi – the capital of India – The city consists of two parts – Old & New Delhi. Old Delhi was the capital of Muslim India between 17th and 19th century and has many mosques, monuments and forts. New Delhi, the imperial city was created by the British as the capital of India. In 1911, Edwin Lutyens, the most renowned English architect of the day, was chosen to design New Delhi which flaunts a surprising number of impressive monuments related to its conquests by the Mughals, Turks, Persians and ultimately the British.
DAY 02 – IN DELHI
Breakfast. Visit of Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, in the heart of old Delhi, Raj Ghat, the place where Gandhi was cremated, a panoramic view of the government buildings along the Raj Path and the imposing India Gate. We will also visit the Birla Temple, the Sikh Temple and the impressive Qutub Minaret. Dinner in hotel.
DAY 03 – DELHI – UDAIPUR
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Udaipur, the city of lakes. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Next, boat ride on Lake Pichola. Dinner in hotel.
DAY 04 – IN UDAIPUR
Breakfast, excursion to Eklingji and Nagda. We will visit the City Palace, the richest palace-museum in all of Rajasthan. Afterwards we will see the Garden of Maidens, Sahelion ki Bari. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 05 – UDAIPUR – RANAKPUR – JODHPUR
Breakfast. Departure to Jodhpur visiting the Jaimist temple of Adinath in Ranakpur en route. We will continue towards Jodhpur. Arrival, Dinner and accommodation
DAY 06 – JODHPUR – JAIPUR
Breakfast. At around 08:00, we will visit Jaswant Thada and Mehrangarh Fort. We will walk down from the fort to the clock tower. Next, departure by road to Jaipur, the “Pink City” where the emblematic façade of the Palace of the Winds is located. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Dinner in hotel.
DAY 07 – JAIPUR – AMER – JAIPUR
Breakfast. We will visit Amber, which from the road gives us a spectacular image. We went up to her fortified palace on an elephant. Returning to Jaipur we will visit the Maharaja’s Palace and its museums and the Jai Singh Observatory. Dinner.
DAY 08 – JAIPUR – FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRA
Breakfast. Departure in the morning to Fatehpur Sikri, imperial capital paralyzed in time. It was the last city built by Akbar and abandoned apparently due to lack of water. We continue towards Agra, the city of TAJ MAHAL. In the afternoon, visit the Taj Mahal, which with unsurpassed architectural perfection captivates those who contemplate it.
DAY 09 – AGRA – ORCHA – KHAJURAHO
Breakfast. Depart by Shatabdi Express train to Jhansi and continue by road to Orcha, visit the Raj Mahal Palace. After lunch, continue by road to Khajuraho, where the most exquisite temples in India are located, built between the 10th and 11th centuries by the Chandela kings. Dinner in hotel.
DAY 10 – KHAJURAHO – BENARES
Breakfast. In the morning we will visit some of the 22 temples or nagaras that still remain. Although they present very diverse motifs, the best-known figures are the so-called “mithuna” that stand on high platforms. Then departure by plane to Benares, the city of the “Thousand Stairs” and also the most sacred in India. In the afternoon, we will go to the bank of the Ganges River to watch the afternoon “Aarti” ceremony. Dinner in hotel.
DAY 11 – BENARES
At dawn we will take a boat trip along the Ganges, where we will see the faithful along the ghats, purifying themselves and making their offerings. Next we will take a walk through the labyrinth of alleys of the city. Breakfast at hotel. Next excursion to Sarnath where Buddha gave his first sermon. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 12 – BENARES – DELHI – EUROPE/AMERICA
Breakfast. At midday transfer to Varanasi airport to take the flight to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi airport, your suitcases will be collected for check-in again and you will be in transit to take the flight to your next destination.
